Designing an original Fitness game concept
Sea Monster created a detailed concept for a new social fitness app.
Inspired by the aesthetics and social experiences of table-top experiences like Dungeons and Dragons, FitFable is an original concept that puts friends, fantasy and teamwork at its core. Unlike other gamified fitness, this leverages a shared accountability space to inspire players who find it difficult to stay motivated on their own. It has a special focus on getting low-exercise individuals off their couches with the help of their friends.
Design and produce detailed project materials to support the game's funding journey.
The creative concept of FitFable came from William Rawson and was intended as a starting point for crowdfunding and a "by gamers, for gamers" production philosophy - a well-entrenched staple of the independent gaming scene.
Breathing life into FitFable.
Working with Rawson's original designs, we moulded FitFable into a sleeker and more efficient version for the intended funding avenue.
This involved undergoing a thorough design thinking process to bring the solution into scope, resulting in a full set of wireframes, character/UI references, and detailed tech specifications.
Our team also created a "press kit" of collateral to be used for the game's promotion and funding efforts, providing Rawson's idea with the necessary presentation and polish to be used in the competitive Kickstarter arena.
